Inspiration for
House of Joe

House of Joe (HOJ) was founded October 12, 2012; inspired by the 17 year partnership with Joe McPeak.  The original HOJ consisted of not only Joe (McPeak),  but also his dog Joey and cat Josie.  Every card sent from him home was lovingly signed "House of Joe".  The "House of Joe" was always filled with love, laughter, compassion, spirituality, and hope.

After a long battle with AIDS, Joe McPeak died on December 13, 2010 and within a few months Joey and Josie also passed. It was then that the dream began, to see the loving memories live on and the "House of Joe" continue to thrive through a nonprofit.

It was Joe's life that gave rise to the idea of turning his strength into a mechanism to continue his life.  House of Joe was founded by Joseph Walker and with support of family and friends, the dream is coming true.

Often, many basic needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS are overlooked. Joe McPeak was blessed in that he never had to worry about toiletries, paying for medication, household items, or support from his family.  The mission of House of Joe is to improve the quality of life of individuals living with HIV/AIDS.  We believe that everyone should have the basic necessities to live a healthy, happy, and full life.

We support agencies that work everyday to feed and provide medical treatment to those living with HIV/AIDS by providing needed items.  Please note we do not provide housing or direct assistance to individuals.
